I grew up and graduated from high school in a small farm town in Illinois. I went to college in Texas. When I wrote my first book one of the first things I did was send press releases to my home town newspaper (which I found was no longer in business) and my college alumi newsletter. Many of you remain in the areas you grew up in but sometimes, as in my case, you move.
People back home are potential customers too. Let them know what you've been up to. After all they always knew you'd be successful...or did they?
