They are all over our offices, in our cars and at home. I'm talking about promotional items. Those cute little gadgets with a company name on them. Ice scrapers, key chains, pens, Post-It® Notes and many more too numerous to mention here.
When and if you consider using these items to promote your business give some thought to how the person will use the item. For example, if you want the customer to call you then you may want to consider items left on the desk or that are associated with the phone.
The customer may appreciate your ice scraper but for six months of the year it's in the trunk or under the seat or somewhere else. If your customer forwards documents to other businesses then Post-It® Notes might be a smart way to go. As the persons notes go with the document so does your business name.
A useful item is always nice but not if it isn't there when the customer is looking for your number.
