If you've spent any time at all on this site, you know I'm a big fan of postcards. Even at full postage (.20¢) they are still only .01¢ more than bulk mail. I have often suggested that your postcard have a "call-to-action." In other words it asks the recipient to do something. Call the store, come down, bring a coupon. Do something to let me know you got my postcard and I'm getting some business from it.
Sometimes, even the best message, is missed because it's hidden within the message. Here's an example I received in the mail shows one possible way to separate the offer from the message.
Notice the coupon in the lower left hand corner. You don't have to go to the extent of a bar code but you can see that the offer is the eye catcher on this card. Give it a try, you might be surprised at the result.
