Sell A New Item By Asking
Customers To Bring In Their Old One
by Tom Egelhoff
For years car dealers have been using the old "Push, Pull or Drag Sale" to bring in customers. It doesn't matter what condition your item is in they will take it and give you a discount on a new one. I have personally seen this work very well with a lot of different businesses. Bring in your old tie and get a discount on a new one. Am I really going to go anywhere else since I've brought my old tie with me?
There are a host of possibilities that lend themselves to this easy and fun promotion. Display the worst looking items to let people know the condition doesn't matter.
Bonus: Donate the products in the best condition to your local church or thrift store and enhance your name around town.
