How To Find New Business The Easy WayBy Tom Egelhoff A company's
ability to generate new business is one of the principle reasons
one business succeeds while another flounders. Where can you
find new business? One of the best sources I know of is the newspaper.
There are three primary sections that you need to look at.
1. Engagement and wedding sections. These people are going to be setting up housekeeping together and are going to be new customers for a whole host of products and services. Forget the possibility that they may already be living together before the wedding. They will still need your services.. trust me on this. Send them a postcard or brochure of your products and services with an introductory discount of other special offer. 2. Classified ads: When a person or business runs a classified ad something is changing. For example a business advertising for help may be expanding. Maybe they need your services now where they may not have previously. People buying or selling homes may need to find new services near their new home. 3. The general news itself: Any change in the community may create a trickle down effect on other businesses. Any new city ordinances. New laws. New roads. All can create new business for you if you train yourself to look for it. New business is everywhere if you just know the right places to look. Give your local newspaper a closer look next time you pick it up and see how much new business you can find. Have a business question for Tom?
