As we prepare to enter a new era of doing business during "banking hours" is over. Customers expect businesses to be available when they are. If you are a retailer, your newest competitor is the Internet.
The new definition of "shopping" is an 800 number and catalog or a website and a credit card. Customers can shop 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
You need to take advantage of any sales strategy that will attract customers. 800 numbers, website, catalogs, overnight delivery and personal service. Schedule store hours to take advantage of traffic patterns.
The easier it is to do business the more business you will do.
