Make The Wait A Little Easier
by Tom Egelhoff
If you have the type of business where customers have to wait for your service or product why not make that wait a little more pleasant. Waiting rooms always have magazines that are way out of date; keep yours current. I have my oil changed regularly at a lube shop that has donut holes and coffee for the customers. They also have an interesting collection of old time oil cans and photos of the shop from many years ago. You don't have to provide live entertainment or movies on tape but as long as the customer has to wait make it as pleasant an experience as possible.
Added note: Always make sure your waiting area is as clean and sanitary as possible. Cleanliness goes a long way toward developing repeat customers.
